We believe that the communities who live alongside ecosystems should be empowered to take responsibility for their protection.
In order to fit into this theme, you must be able to demonstrate that you:
1. Recognise that humans are part of ecosystems
2. Engage the communities that are directly involved in conservation
3. Empower local communities to become the custodians of the environment in which they live
