      Cause: Environment and Youth Engagement Location of Work: UK Summary: From the very beginning, we have loved Action for Conservation’s ambition to nurture young people’s connection to nature, whether that be through their school-based programmes or, more recently, through their land-based work at Penpont. Action for Conservation puts young people at the centre of their work wrhich, of course, is essential if we want future generations to incorporate environmental protection into the social and economic development of our country!

      Cause: Environment Location of Work: Isle of Arran, Scotland Summary: COAST is a best practice example of managing marine protected areas in the U.K., and engaging local communities in the process. We were delighted that, during our partnership, they were able to secure their own boat - RV COAST Explore - enabling them to further engage stakeholders in learning about and caring for the sea.

      Cause: Environment Location of Work: UK and Global Summary: Earth Restoration Service is a tiny organisation with an impressive, positive environmental impact. They turn under-used areas of land into havens for biodiversity by planting trees and flower meadows, whilst engaging young people and communities in the wonder of nature.

      Cause: Environmental Policy Location of Work: UK Summary: We were so pleased to partner with Green Alliance during an absolutely essential period of time in the run-up to the 2024 General Election. Ensuring that climate and nature are central to government policy is the speciality of this organisation; they not only do fantastic research, but they also nurture key relationships with influential people.

      Cause: Young People and Education Location of Work: UK Summary: We have been most impressed by IntoUniversity's place-based approach. They really spend time getting to know a community and creating learning centres that are not only for young people, but also the rest of the community. We were lucky enough to attend the opening of their new Hull centre in 2023!

      Cause: Young People Education Location of Work: UK Summary: What attracted us to The Mix was their unique digital approach to supporting young people who might not otherwise access help. The team were always willing to share their expertise and network with us; we got to learn more about their data analytics work and connected with other innovative funders.

      Cause: Environment Location of Work: UK Summary: Orchard across the U.K. are important spaces that bring a multitude of benefits - from health and wellbeing, to environment and community. We have been particularly impressed by The Orchard Project’s commitment to ensuring that underrepresented communities are involved in their work; tackling the issue of a lack of diversity in the environment and conservation sector.

      Cause: Young People Location of Work: UK Summary: The Prince's Trust offer such an impressive range of services to young people. No matter their stage in life, their interests, or their confidence level, there is something for everyone at the Trust. We loved attending their annual awards ceremonies...both online and in person...it was wonderful to see young people being recognised for their achievements.

      Cause: Young People Location of Work: UK Summary: For us, the most distinctive part of ReachOut's work is their 'character strengths' model. Staying Power, Fairness, Self-Control, and Good Judgement are absolutely essential skills for a successful and happy life. During our partnership we got to learn from the fundraising team as well as the delivery team, and enjoyed being part of their marketing rebrand!

      Cause: Rewilding Location of Work: UK Summary: Rewilding Britain is a leading voice for rewilding in the U.K. and beyond; transforming landscapes as well as perceptions. During our partnership, they have seen a rapid growth in their membership, they have supported smaller projects through their innovation fund, and they have published invaluable guidance on rewilding land for landowners.

      Cause: Conservation Location of Work: Global Summary: RSPB is undoubtedly a leader in the sector, not only in bird conservation, but landscape level protection more broadly. We have been particularly interested in their exploration of innovative funding and investment models to try and attract new sources of income to the environmental sector.

      Cause: Young People Location of Work: UK Summary: A key characteristic of SASH is their ambition to break the cycle of homelessness for young people. They are not just working on quick-fix solutions, but work on financial education, social skills, and life skills, to ensure that young people can thrive.

      Cause: Rewildling Location of Work: Scotland Summary: SCOTLAND: The Big Picture are a key voice for rewilding in the U.K., and convene a vast network of landholders who have committed their land to nature. One of the most memorable moments during our partnership was joining other supporters online to watch ‘Why not Scotland’, an emotive and powerful film about nature recovery.

      Cause: Accessibility and Environment Location of Work: UK Summary: We have always been impressed by Sensory Trust’s approach to facilitating nature connection for everyone, regardless of age or ability. We were fascinated to hear how they helped introduce new nature-related words to sign language - a lasting legacy - and we loved hearing about their creative engagement approaches such as using bird sounds and soil exploration.

      Cause: Young People Location of Work: UK Summary: It has been a joy working with Step by Step since 2021. They provide a really personalised service that supports young people during difficult times in their lives. In the time we’ve known them, they’ve even managed to open a whole new foyer, providing a safe and comfortable place for people to stay when they’ve got nowhere else to go.

      Cause: Conservation Location of Work: UK and Europe Summary: Vincent Wildlife Trust is a fantastic example of an evidence-led conservation organisation, focusing on the protection of threatened mammals. They oversee 37 horseshoe bat roosts, representing around 50% of the U.K. population! The Trust is hugely collaborative, working on projects from Wales to Romania all in the name of mammal conservation.

      Cause: Environment and Wellbeing Location of Work: Essex, England Summary: The Wilderness Foundation has been demonstrating the clear connection between environmental engagement and wellbeing - focusing particularly on some of our most vulnerable groups such as victims of domestic violence and school-avoiders. We were absolutely delighted when they secured Mann Wood in 2024 - an area of land where the team can engage more people as well as protect biodiversity.

      Cause: Environmental Policy Location of Work: UK Summary: Wildlife and Countryside Link play an integral role in the environmental sector, bringing the voices of some 90 environmental organisations together in order to improve government legislation. At any given time they will be working on a range of projects from wildlife crime to water pollution and from landscape protection diversity and inclusion in the sector!
